Requalification and development of a existing building in Via Torino in Milan.
The work included the realization of the aluminum infill elements of the façade, the carpentry and the panels which compose the breathing façade, the boardwalks, the windows and the inner finishing in steel and glass.
The designer imagined a metallic structure, "alive", in continuous change in its colors and shapes, at the same time transparent and bright for the indoor user. 742 motorized panels that can be opened compose the façade. A central electrical system manages the panels' movements, with a scheduled programming which enables the panels to create many choreographies.
Steel micro -perforated, levelled sheets colored by four different immersion times compose the panels. The electronic process of coloring of the steel allows to reach the chromatic performance needed, together with a high colors' variety in function of the light's angle of incidence. The micro-perforating process made on the infill panes make the façade to be transparent from 2 meters distance for a user standing inside the rooms.
