METALWORK AND GLASS FAÇADE

An intervention in the heart of the city of Monza was born from the desire to improve the energy performance of an important building, home of the historic Capitol Cinema, and to implement a restyling able to give a new architectural look to the existing façades.

The external envelope of the building was suitably insulated without, however, disrupting the main existing architectural elements, represented by the large bow window on the main façade, the wide skirting, the balconies and the many window openings.

Busnelli designed, built and installed this overhanging portion, a distinctive feature of the architectural project, creating a projecting structure, supported by a thin metal frame and clad with an alternation of micro-perforated press-folded sheet metal panels and steel frames with high thermal-acoustic insulation glazing.

Attention to functionality and the client's needs is manifested in the choice of high-performance thermo-acoustic glazing, which is essential in a residential context on a busy street.
