METALLIC CARPENTRY SHINGLE THAT CAN BE OPENED

Requalification of a fashion Showroom building in Milan.

Busnelli took charge of the realization of the motorized shingle that can we opened of an inner garden. The carpentry structure that sustains the shingles recalls the netwook beans and the geometry of some structure existing in the horizontal structures, as the client specifically requested.

The glazed shingle is divided in two symmetric gabled roofs. Two layers compose the pitched roof: one is a still mirror, while the other is sliding and enrolls on the fixed one. The two segments meet at the top of the roof and, when opened, they show the central part of the garden, disclosing a surface equal to the 50% of the total area. Two direct-grip motors synchronized by an inverter move every single cart.
